The first time I hired a professional photographer on my travels was when Keith and I were engaged. At the time I was a bike tour guide in Paris, and I knew I wanted such a WOW backdrop!
I am constantly taking photos on all of my adventures to document our travels, remind myself of local eateries, and of course, to share my journey with my clients on social media. But there is something so incredibly special about putting my camera down, really immersing myself in my surroundings, and having my photo taken for a change.
No matter what brings you on your travels, be it a solo adventure or family trip abroad, you will simply cherish a professional photography experience for years to come. These photos spark joy, capture amazing memories, and help you relive your journeys over and over again!
Professionals Know Their Stuff!
I love being able to put down my camera, and let the professional take over. It doesn't matter what sort of weather you have- truly. Whether it's a massive wind storm in Ireland or the sunniest day on the Amalfi Coast, a photoshoot with a talented photographer always leads to brilliant photos that make you laugh, smile, or makes you go "wow!". It's easy to feel like we are all good at taking photos because we all have incredible cameras on our phones, but there is a massive difference. The quality is not comparable, the experience it a lot of fun, and it makes for a memorable hour or couple of hours.
Be In The Moment
For Gals, of course, it's fun to get dressed up, do an outfit change, and feel glam. But it's usually a struggle to get the men to agree to this. It's THE best feeling to see the results of a photoshoot. A good photographer knows how to get candid photos that show the real character of someone, and allows them to feel more at ease. This is not a "stand and pose" sort of experience, this is so much more than that.
All of my recommended photographers are FANTASTIC at capturing real, authentic moments with you or your loved ones. You receive photos that really show the heart of who you are, how you are enjoying your travels, and loving life!
The Details
Photography sessions can range from 1 hour to 3 hours. They can be in front of iconic buildings, down winding narrow streets, and can also include stops for coffee, pastries, and lovely shots of you just enjoying life. Posed is not a word I would use for a photoshoot. It's an artist following you around for a few hours to really capture you. Whether you are traveling solo, with a friend, as a couple, or a family- it's something I think everyone should consider.
