Top Three Stays in Scotland!
These castles and resorts are out of this world, and the perfect place to call home during your trip to Scotland.
I spent the first part of 2022 traveling all over Scotland, and this country is simply magical! From the landscape to the unique experiences, Scotland is a fantastic place to visit and tick off your travel bucket list.
What I loved MOST about Scotland were the amazing stay options! From castles and resorts to AirBnBs, this country has some of the most special places to call home. The food is fantastic. The service is top notch. And the history will take you back in time.
Here’s my Top Three Stays in Scotland!
Whispering Pine Lodge - Loch Lochy
The Whispering Pine Lodge was fantastic from start to finish! The Whispering Pine Lodge was originally a hunting lodge built in the 1800’s when the clan of MacMartins of Letterfinlay owned the land.
It became a hotel in the mid 1900s and was known as Letterfinlay Lodge. After several additions and renovations, Letterfinlay Lodge gained popularity amongst visitors from England and Germany, who would come from afar to spend time hunting and fishing.
The rooms are inspired by the surroundings with accents of tartan, plaid, oak floors, and wall paneling. The stunning views of the pine forest or glistening loch, gas fireplaces and antique piece of furniture make you feel like you are in a Highland home.
The spa was one of the highlights of my stay! The Little Salon and Spa is a cozy pinewood salon that offers a complete range of treatments for relaxation. Their breakfast is UNREAL and we had such an amazing time spending a couple of days here!
Duisdale House Hotel - Isle of Skye
The Duisdale House Hotel was the PERFECT escape during our Isle of Skye road trip! The welcoming atmosphere, the fireplace, and the staff made our experience here so memorable. This boutique hotel has 21 bedrooms and gives you the home away from home feel.
Duisdale House Hotel is a luxury, award winning, family run boutique hotel on Skye’s southern Sleat Peninsula. With breath taking views over the sea loch to the mountains beyond, this former hunting lodge, oozes character and charm. Each of their individually styled bedrooms is unique and distinctive and complements the historic features of Duisdale House. From standard or twin rooms with woodland views, to deluxe rooms overlooking the garden and their popular suite with sea views, we are sure you will find staying at Duisdale House a delight!
Mungo’s Den - Isle of Skye
Keith and I were incredibly lucky to spend some time in Skye at Mungo's Den. Secluded. Quiet. Quaint. But what I love most about this space is the luxury and details which are so well thought of. From the Egyptian cotton linen and clawfoot bathtub to the underfloor heating and solar panels, this space is the perfect fusion of cottage with upgraded features.
My personal favorite? The overabundance of board games, cards, books, and movies to keep you occupied your entire stay! This space is exactly what I needed to feel relaxed and at home. Did I mention to amazing Welcome Basket with homemade jams, butter, and biscuits we had waiting for us on arrival? Seriously. FIVE STARS and then some to Mungo's Den! I cannot wait to send more clients here!
